Psychology 319 (MLRM)
Psychology 319(MLRM) is a course in MultiLevel Regression Modeling for graduate students in Psychological Sciences and Education. The course assumes only an entry level background in graduate statistics (such as completion of Psychology 310).
Beginning with simple linear regression, we progress through a survey of regression modeling methods, including multiple linear regression, nonlinear regression, logistic regression, probit regression, Poisson regression. We then discuss multilevel models and their use in assessing causality in the behavioral sciences and education. We begin with simple hierarchical linear models using the HLM approach and software, and progress to more advanced models using R and Winbugs freeware.
